The interdisciplinary graduate certificate in women's studies introduces students to a wide range of theoretical and practical perspectives on women and gender and provides an excellent complement to the wide array of graduate degrees offered at Ohio University.

Certificate students may be enrolled in any M.A. or Ph.D. program at the university.

Information packets are available at the Women's Studies Program offices, 004 Lindley Hall.  Please go the Advising page on this web site, or contact the Women's Studies advisor, Lynette Peck, for more information.

Requirements:

The graduate certificate requires 17 credit hours, including:

  • WS589:  New Feminist Scholarship: Graduate Capstone Seminar in Women's Studies

  • Three graduate-level courses from our permanent cross-listed course offerings. Two of these courses must be outside your major field.
