Requirements for Application:
Acceptance into a graduate program of study at Ohio University.
Accumulative GPA of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale.
Current resume.
Letter of interest that includes the following information: graduate
program of study, beginning enrollment date, and duration of enrollment.
Three references - personal, professional, and academic; complete
with name, address and phone number.
Work Hours: 20 hours per week for each academic
quarter, plus mandatory Fall quarter training the week prior to
the beginning of classes.
Compensation: Tuition waiver and stipend (approx.
$7,800/3 quarters)

TENTATIVE POSITIONS AVAILABLE:
Fitness Assistant: Assists Fitness Center Coordinator in
management of the fitness department, including hiring, training
and supervision of fitness center staff, conducting student staff
meetings, ordering equipment, and evaluating new and ongoing fitness
programs. (1 position)
Clinical Exercise Physiology Coordinator: Coordinates
all aspects of membership enrollment, including conducting fitness
assessments on new members; hiring, training, and supervising approximately
12 student employees; conducting telephone screenings; maintaining
accurate records; preparing monthly reports; and facilitating staff
meetings. Must be available during summer and winter breaks. (1
position)
Nutrition Coordinator: Coordinates the nutrition
education program, including supervision of undergraduate students,
both PACE and volunteers in nutrition education activities. Reviews,
revises educational materials, and supervises out-reach program.
Maintains records, including program evaluations; attends weekly
staff meetings. (1 position)
Education Coordinator: Coordinates all aspects
of WellWorks' event programming and health screenings,
including supervision of undergraduate students. Develops, markets,
presents and evaluates health education programs; schedules
monthly blood pressure screenings; maintains accurate records and
prepares monthly reports; recruits volunteers for participation
in educational programs and blood pressure screenings; organizes progamming for corporate members; and attends
weekly staff meetings. (1 position)
Risk Reduction Assistant: Assist with Risk Reduction program, including participating in physiologic testing (examples: stress test, body composition, and lung function testing), data entry, and file prepartation of Risk Reduction participants. Oversee personal training service for each participant, including assigning, scheduling, orientation, follow-through and supervision. Assist with preparations for group support meetings. (1 position)
