  Healthy OHIO Wellness Initiative  

WELCOME
Welcome to Healthy OHIO, Ohio University's new wellness initiative. We are excited to provide you with this opportunity to learn more about your health while also contributing to the planning and development of an initiative to create a "Healthy OHIO."

PARTNERS
Healthy OHIO is a partnership between WellWorks (part of the College of Health and Human Services), University Human Resources, and the Health Benefits Committee.

PURPOSE
The purpose of Health OHIO is to:
* Provide Ohio University employees with information about their current health status
*Create a "Culture of Wellness" at Ohio Univesity
*Gather aggregate data that will be used to guide the planning and development of programs, services, and benefits to meet the health needs of Ohio University employees.

PARTICIPATION
All benefit-eligible Ohio University employees can participate in Healthy OHIO initiative and receive financial incentives. Spouse, dependents, and retires are not eligible to participate. The Healthy OHIO process will begin in the Fall Quarter of the 2007-2008 acadmeic year. Employess are divided and assigned into groups based on job classification. The assignments are as follows:

Fall Quarter 2007- Classified Staff
Winter Quarter 2008 - Administrative Staff
Spring Quarter 2008 - Faculty and FOP

The Healthy OHIO initiative is supported by Ohio University leadership. Participation in Healthy OHIO is encouraged, although completely voluntary.

We are now scheduling health screenings for benefit-eligible ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF. Please call WellWorks at 740-593-2093 to schedule your appointment.

STEP 1
Health Screening: Free health screenings will be offered at University Human Resources. A detailed explanation and instructions will be sent to you in a separate mailing via campus mail.

STEP 2
Personal Wellness Profile: The Personal Wellness Profile (PWP) is a health risk appraisal that asks a variety of questions about health and lifestyle habits such as physical activity, nutrition, stress, etc. The PWP can be completed online https://wellsuite.com/ohiou/pwp/ or on paper. The profile should take less than 30 minutes to complete. Instructions for completing the online Personal Wellness Profile and your health screening results will be mailed to you.

After completing the PWP, a personal report will be generated. The report will provide an overview of your health status and recommendations for health improvement and follow-up care.

STEP 3
Education Sessions: Follow-up education sessions will be held at University HUman Resources. These sessions will help you better understand your PWP report and will provide health information and resources available to assist you with your next step.

INCENTIVE
You will receive a $50 reward upon successfully completing all three steps in the HRA process. The financial reward amount is before taxes. It will be included in your paycheck the first quarter after you complete the process.
Classified - winter quarter
Administrative - spring quarter
