Course
Description

The purpose of this 3-hour graduate workshop is to provide appropriate children’s literature and Internet sites to teach the WWII time period.

Prerequisites

None



Methods of Course Instruction

All course content is presented on the World Wide Web; e-mail is used for submission of assignments, as well as for the instructor's evaluation and comments.

Course Objectives

The teacher will be able to:

  • Identify appropriate literature and Internet sites.

  • Develop a timeline of significant historical events during WWII.

  • Synthesize the role of children and women during the time era.

  • Explain the prejudices toward the  U.S. African Americans during WWII.

  • Describe significant battles.
