Methods of Course Instruction

The class will meet via BlackBoard and the Internet.  You will be required to retrieve and complete your assigned work from the Internet at your own pace and convenience, given the deadlines that each assignment and project will have.


Course Objectives

  • To understand the role of Human Resources in the organization.

  • To recognize the basic legal and financial aspects of a Human Resources job.

  • To accurately compute gross and net wages for employees, and compute the organizational cost of various benefit options.

  • To intelligently discuss options regarding savings, investing, and insurance.
