Description

Introduction to perceiving and understanding meanings and organizational systems in traditional and contemporary visual arts in context of their social and cultural backgrounds.

Methods of Course Instruction

This course is taught entirely online using Blackboard 6. You can access Blackboard 6 via our web page www.ohio.edu (click on students and then blackboard) or at http://blackboard.ohiou.edu. Assignments will be submitted via assignments page and email. Make sure that your oak email account is functional as it is the easiest way for us to communicate. I will attempt to respond quickly, please resend the email if a response has not reached you.

You are not required to have access to this editions accompanying CD Rom—“Discovering Art 2.0”. Also “Art notes” is not required (don’t pay more for this—you won’t be taking notes in the traditional way
for this class).
