Course Objectives |
This course will investigate the art of architecture from ancient times to the present. It aims to develop and increase the perceptual skills of the students, who will be able to recognize architects, styles, functions and locations of buildings, as well as the environment that shaped the conception of each of them. The students will also distinguish formal and contextual elements necessary to discuss the architectural structures and architects from different cultures and gain knowledge of some basic theories on architecture. |
