Course Objectives |
This course investigates Western art during the nineteenth century. It focuses on major styles of nineteenth-century painting, sculpture, and architecture and aims to develop and increase the perceptual skills of the students. The participants in this course will learn about artists, their styles, and the environmental and contextual factors that influenced their work. They will examine some basic theories of art and investigate the important underlying principles of art criticism. |
