| Premedical Summer Scholars Program
June 12-July 25, 2008 Noncredit. Enhances the preparation of premedical students from disadvantaged backgrounds. The program includes lectures and labs, in functional and morphological principles of biomedical sciences and in principles of osteopathic medicine and physical therapy plus learning and study skills seminars. A maximum of 25 students will be accepted. Each participant will be provided with room and board, travel to and from the program and instructional materials. Students will also receive a small stipend. Applicants must be from disadvantaged background, must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, must have completed at least the sophomore year of college-level chemistry and biology, must provide two science faculty recommendations, and must submit all official transcripts from any undergraduate institutions attended.
