Winter Intersession Classes

Information & Course Offerings


Information in this section pertains only to classes offered during Winter Intersession. Your Winter Quarter comprehensive fee does not cover Winter Intersession. Intersession courses will be billed separately from your Winter Quarter fees.

Registration
You may register for all courses using Web Registration or TRIPS. It is recommended that students register for one course only. Registration completed after November 29, 2004, will be assessed a $40.00 late registration fee.

Course Withdrawal
       It is the student’s sole responsibility to drop from the course by November 29, 2004. Ohio University Without Boundaries accepts no responsibility for this process. Any class not dropped prior to the first meeting day of class will result in student being held responsible for the tuition for the course. Failure to drop from the class and not attending will result in an FN/FS grade for the class.
       Students will be held financially responsible for any courses not dropped by November 29, 2004. Classes dropped after the first day of class will be subject to the drop dates listed under meeting dates. Any student dropping from a Winter Intersession course must do so before the class starts to receive a 100% refund of fees.

Payment Deadline
Payment deadline for all Winter Intersession courses is November 29, 2004.

Fees - Athens Campus
       Your Winter Quarter comprehensive fee does NOT cover the fees for these classes. Intersession courses are billed separately from your Winter Quarter fees. Ohio University Without Boundaries will bill you the appropriate fee as approved by the Board of Trustees.
       Do NOT pay your bill at the Bursar’s Office! All payments for Winter Intersession should be sent to: Ohio University Without Boundaries, 42 West Union Street, Athens, OH 45701-2979. The Registration Payment Deadline is November 29, 2004. Credit cards will be accepted. Ohio University Without Boundaries is located on the ground floor of Bromley Hall (West Union Street entrance).

Fees - Regional Campus
       Intersession courses are billed separately from your Winter Quarter fees; your winter comprehensive fee does not cover the fees for these classes. Each regional campus will bill you the appropriate fee as approved by the Board of Trustees. Do NOT pay your bill at the Bursar’s Office! All payments for Winter Intersession classes should be paid at the regional campus offering the course. All fees must be paid before the first day of class.

Financial Aid
       Due to Winter Intersession courses not encompassing a term by themselves, financial aid is NOT available for Winter Intersession courses. You must meet financial aid hours requirements for Winter Quarter excluding Winter Intersession courses. If you will receive a refund from your regular Winter Quarter registration, you may apply for a short-term loan against that refund to assist you in paying your Winter Intersession charges.

Grades
Intersession class grades will be available with regular Winter Quarter grades.

       The last day to add a class or drop a class and receive a partial refund of registration fees (80%) without receiving a grade (WP/WF) is Monday, November 29. The last day to drop a class with a grade (WP/WF) is Wednesday, December 1.
