| In most instances, regional campus students are bound by the dates, deadlines, policies, and procedures as published in the Schedule of Classes. Exceptions and variations applicable to the Eastern campus are noted below. CONTINUING STUDENTS Advising for spring quarter will begin Tuesday, February 5, 2008. If you are enrolled for the current quarter, Eastern campus will have registration material for you. To get ready for priority registration, follow these steps: Go to your assigned academic office and get your DARS report and a trial schedule form. Begin planning your schedule. Don't forget to choose several alternate classes - just in case. Make and keep an appointment with your advisor. Take your DARS report, a copy of The Quarterly, and your trial schedule with you. Register for your classes using Web Registration. You cannot register before the time listed on your DARS report. See information about using Web Registration. If you have trouble registering, contact the Advising Office. Hearing impaired students may contact the Registration Office located on the first floor. Mail your payment with your bill by the payment deadline to Ohio University, PO Box 711891, Columbus, OH 43271-1891. Students who registered for classes are subject to a late payment charge of $100 for balances remaining on their accounts after the March 17, 2008, payment deadline. FINAL EXAMINATIONS Final examinations are administered according to an exam schedule posted on the academic bulletin board across the hall from Room 105. INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS See special information for international students. NEW STUDENTS AND TRANSFERS All new students, including transfer students, must take a skills assessment (dates will be announced). There is no charge for the skills assessment, but an appointment is required. Note: Transfer students must take the skills assessment, but we will NOT require them to retake courses for which they receive transfer credit. New and transferring students will receive a copy of the quarterly schedule through the mail. These students should call the Advising Office, (740) 699-2517, and make individual appointments during which we will help them create schedules for the upcoming term. RE-ENROLLING STUDENTS If you were not enrolled for the preceding quarter but have been an Ohio University student in the past, you must file the appropriate forms (no cost involved) to reactivate your records. Contact the Admissions Office on the Eastern campus and ask for a re-enrollment packet. Before registering for classes, you should also talk with an advisor who can assist you in selecting appropriate courses to meet your requirements.
