The Ohio University, Bird Ice Arena is an indoor ice facility featuring an illuminated 190' by 85' ice surface. Activities include general recreation, academic classes, intramural broomball, recreational hockey, learn to skate programs, figure skating, birthday parties, and private rentals. The facility is open from early October to March and available to university students, faculty/staff, alumni, and community. Bird Ice Arena is home ice for the three-time ACHA national champions, the Ohio University Ice Hockey Club team.

Bird Arena is committed to improving the quality of life for its students, faculty, staff and their families, as well as quality learning and employment experiences for students interested in careers in Recreation and Sport Management.
