Requirements for the Political Science Major

A minimum of 52 hours is required for a major, including:

• POLS 101 American National Government 
• POLS 150 Current World Problems 
• POLS 270 Political Theory 
• Two additional 200-level courses 

In Option I, also known as General Politics, one must complete 1 300-400 level course from four of the following areas. 

In Option II, also known as Areas of Concentration, one must complete four courses from one of the following areas.
