ELIGIBILITY

When you fill out the internship application, you will be asked whether you meet the minimum requirements for internship credit:
1. Junior, Senior, or Graduate standing;
2. GPA of 3.0 or higher; and
3. Permission is required if you are not a Political Science major.
OR
* You have been accepted to The Washington Center (See Holly Jacobs, 484 RTV; jacobsh@ohio.edu.)

NOTE: If you do not meet these requirements please email the Director to request a waiver. Waivers are considered on a case-by-case basis. Do not disqualify yourself; come talk to us.

The internship sponsor must also meet certain minimum requirements. Basically, the sponsoring agency or organization must have a connection to public affairs - a government office, for example, or a law firm, or perhaps a women's shelter. There is no set formula that determines what constitutes "public affairs." If you have questions, see the Director.
