International Travel Fund 4:00 p.m. September 15 -- for travel October 1-November 15 and October 15 -- for travel November 16-January 31 (five deadline dates annually) ITF supports half of the cost of a round-trip plant ticket from the U.S. to a foriegn country up to $500. ITF support is available to Group I and II faculty only. ITF supports international research, paper presentation, and other international scholarly activities that are approved by the applicant's department, school or college. Presidential Teacher Award TBA October 2006
The Award was established to recognize exemplary tenured faculty at Ohio University for their excellence in teaching both inside and outside of the classroom. Those selected for the award receive a three-year stipend and hold the title "Presidential Teacher" for that time. University Professor Award Fall Quarter 2006
Since its founding in 1970, the University Professor program has recognized over one hundred professors for their teaching excellence. Each fall quarter the students nominate professors to be considered for the award and then a selection committee, comprised entirely of undergraduate students, meet with the ten finalists and observe each of then in class. Faculty Fellowship Leave January 4
The purpose of the University Faculty Fellowship Program is to enhance the professional skills of the faculty member through further education, study, research, or creative work. At the end of each seven-year teaching period at Ohio University, each tenured faculty member having faculty status are eligible for a University Fellowship leave. Faculty submit the faculty fellowship proposal and proposal summary to the department chair or school director. 6th Annual Student Research and Creativity Fair Entry Deadline: TBA Fair is scheduled for May 7, 2007 in the Convocation Center
The event is co-sponsored by the Vice President for Research and the Office of the President at Ohio University. The fair features poster presentations, performances and exhibits throughout the afternoon, and participants can choose to have their work judged by a panel of Ohio University faculty members. Prizes of up to $400 will be awarded in each of dozens of categories organized by discipline.
