Welcome to the Ombuds Office at Ohio University. We are here to help you
resolve interpersonal disputes and find resolutions to your concerns about academic, staff, or student
issues. Our mission is to advocate for fairness and ensure that every member of the university community
receives equitable treatment. We consider all sides of a question or problem in an impartial and objective
way. We listen and clarify, advise and inform, mediate and facilitate, and recommend changes when appropriate.
Our goal is to help you communicate and interact more effectively in our learning community. The Ombuds
Office is a confidential service open to all students and employees at Ohio University. Simply walk in
or call for an appointment. We are located on the second floor of Crewson House. Appointments at
accessible locations can be arranged by calling the Ombuds Office at 740-593-2627.
