Helen Hazlebeck Watkins, BSC '51, and her husband, Daryl Watkins Jr., BSCE '53, are involved in various volunteer efforts in Kettering, Ohio. Helen, who works part time as a bookkeeper for Kronauge Insurance Agency, is chair of the advisory board for the Charles I. Lathem Senior Center and moderator of the Women of Fairmont Presbyterian Church. Daryl has given more than 100 hours of service to Kettering Medical Center and volunteers as a city courier.

Ellis Schuman, MFA '56, who teaches piano, harp and composition at the Music Center of San Francisco, had the premiere of his "In Memoriam for Strings" performed by the New Century Chamber Orchestra of San Francisco. The work was written in memory of Holocaust victims.

Mary Gaydos, BFA '58, of New York City was an honoree at the World Language Institute of New York City for her narration of the film "The Art and Architecture of Belgrade and Kosovo," which was produced by the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Vincent DiGirolamo, BSCO '59, recently retired as vice chairman of National City Corp. after more than 40 years of service to the Cleveland-based financial holding company.
