Film Symposium
October 17 and 18, 2003

Stereotypical representations often appear most fervent in the medium of film and video. A series of films dealing with Appalachian stereotypes and their formation are the focus of this two-day symposium. Friday features a full day of screenings. On Saturday morning kids from Spicy Yam Productions preview and discuss their productions. Saturday afternoon features a panel discussion with award-winning filmmaker Steven Bognar and Ohio University professors Richard Greenlee, Keith Harris, and Art Cromwell.
