Lakefront Lines - Reservations can be made by sending an email to mkutchta@lakefrontlines.com or by calling 1-800-331-5009. When making a reservation, please keep your arrival time in mind. If your flight will arrive in Columbus too late to catch the bus at the Greyhound bus terminal at 11:40 am, you will need to make a reservation to travel to Athens on the Lakefront Lines bus the next day.
- Cost is $31.00, payable to the bus driver when you board the bus.
- Pickup is according to the following schedule:
The Lakefront Lines bus leaves the terminal for Athens at 11:40 am every day from the Greyhound Bus Terminal in Columbus. After you arrive at the airport you will need to take a taxi to the bus terminal in order to take the Lakefront Lines bus to Athens. If you arrive after 11:40 am and need to spend the night in Columbus, you may ask for assistance in booking a room at the airport Information Desk behind Baggage Claim. The Lakefront Lines bus will arrive in Athens at approximately 1:10 pm. The bus stop is at the Athens Community Center (710 East State Street). An Athens Transit bus will be available to take you to campus or into town if you are not being met at the community center. The cost of a bus ticket for Athens Transit is $1.00.
