Monday, May 12th Tuesday, May 13th World Drumming Party Ohio University’s School of Music, the Center for International Studies, the Multicultural Center, and the Ohio Valley International Council (OVIC) hold the World Drumming Parties every Tuesday from noon to 1:00 at the West Portico of Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium. Drummers of all ages and skill levels are invited to join in the fun. World percussion expert and Associate Professor in Ohio University’s School of Music Dr. Paschal Yao Younge – Co-Artistic Director of the African Ensemble - will lead the sessions. The drumming parties are free and open to the public. Participants are encouraged to bring their own drums, but extra drums will be provided at the venue. Returned study abroad students, international students, faculty, staff, and community members will be sharing their stories and adventures. This relaxing lunch break will provide lots of wisdom, laughter, and light refreshments.
