When you submit the enrollment application electronically, or print it and mail or fax it, the Independent Study program accepts it as your agreement to abide by all policies and procedures stated elsewhere in this site.
Before sending your application, have you: - Read carefully the Fees and Policies sections pertaining to the courses you wish to take?
("Fees and Policies for Courses by Correspondence and Web Courses," "Fees and Policies for Independent Study Projects," or "Fees and Policies for Course Credit by Examination Courses") - Noted the prerequisites or other regulations applying to the courses of interest to you?
- Completed all information requested on the application? Note: International students and others who do not have a social security number, please write "NONE" on the appropriate line; a student identification number will be assigned to you.
- Had an appropriate official complete the permission section of the application if you are a college student using the credit toward a degree or a high school student?
- Secured permission from your college if you are an Ohio University student?
- Application for external student status if you are interested in a degree and you are not enrolled on a campus of Ohio University?
- Signed your application?
- Enclosed full tuition fees for each course? Enclosed all additional fees that apply to your enrollment?
