Prerequisites: This course is open only to Ohio University seniors.
 
Course Overview: This course analyzes the aesthetic in sport by viewing various works of art when sport serves as the subject of the artist and by observing sport when sport is the medium for creating aesthetic expression. 
 
Methods of Course Instruction: All material for this course is Web-based. Instructor and students communicate through e-mail.
 
Textbooks and Supplies: No textbook required for this course.

Technical Requirements: The following operating systems and browsers are fully tested and supported by Blackboard:

Number of Lessons: The course consists of nine lessons.
 
Types of Writing Assignments: Each of the regular lessons contains essay questions based on the readings within the lesson or on the images provided.
 
Examinations: No examinations.
 

Grading Criteria: The course requirements are given a point value as follows:
      Completed lessons = 80 points
      Elite athlete analysis = 20 points
