MGT 202W - Management
Four Quarter Hours

 
Prerequisites: Sophomore rank or above.
 
Course Overview: This is an undergraduate introductory course in management. The course covers the understanding of and practice in solving problems facing managers and administrators using concepts and principles from behavioral sciences and other applicable disciplines.
 
Methods of Course Instruction: All material for this course is Web-based. Instructor and students communicate through the Web-based learning management system, Blackboard.
 
Textbooks and Supplies:   No textbook required.

STUDENTS ARE STRONGLY ADVISED NOT TO BUY TEXTBOOKS UNTIL REGISTERED IN COURSES AS REQUIRED EDITIONS CAN CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE.
 

Technical Requirements: The following operating systems and browsers are fully tested and supported by Blackboard:

∙ Windows 2000 running Internet Explorer 6 or Firefox 1.0.x
∙ Windows XP running Internet Explorer 6 or Firefox 1.0.x
∙ Macintosh OS 10.3 running Internet Explorer 5.2 or Safari 1.2

Other combinations of operating systems and browsers may be compatible with Blackboard 6.3. However, they have not been fully tested so you may experience problems.

 
Number of Lessons: The course consists of seven assigned learning modules (LM).
 
Types of Writing Assignments: Each learning module requires the learner to research and report relevant management and business topics.
 
Examinations:  There are no examinations for this course.
