Bill Henestofel is licensed by the State of Ohio as a Fire Safety Inspector, Firefighter, and previously certified as one of the earliest Paramedics. He retired from the Columbus, Ohio Fire Department as a Fire Captain and also as Fire Chief in Jefferson Township in Franklin County. He has been employed by the Florida State Fire Marshall as an inspector and also as a Fire Safety Inspector for the city of Bexley, Ohio.

Bill is a Fire Safety Coordinator with the Environmental Health and Safety Department. His job responsibilities are to enforce the Ohio Fire and Building Codes and also the National Fire Codes. The enforcement of these codes are directly related to the life safety and conservation of property as well as protecting the environment. Bill is inspecting all of Ohio University buildings for code violations that relate to unsafe acts and unsafe conditions. He also assists in any other fire prevention activities as needed.
