RESEARCH ACTIVITIES:
Using time-diary data to investigate the effects of family structure,
income, gender, and other characteristics on the time use of individuals,
with a particular focus on the time use of parents and adolescents;
examining the effects of parental transfers and the price of schooling on
college students' labor supply and the effect of students' employment on
their academic achievement; using spatial econometric techniques to
investigate the effects of right-to-work legislation and minimum wages on
employment; and investigating prison labor contracts in Ohio in the
nineteenth century.
