Scott Quad


Location and Current Use

Scott Quad is located in the South Central portion of campus, at coordinates H-5 on the campus map. It is marked as # 76 on the map.

Scott Quad, located near the central part of the College Green, houses offices for Campus Safety (including the Ohio University Police Department and the SAFE-T Patrol Teams), University Communications and Marketing (including Campus Calendar, Creative, News/Information, Ohio Today, Outlook/On Campus, and Satellite Services), the Center for Academic Technology (formerly "CITL"), the Center for Writing Excellence, and the Center for Teaching Excellence.

Scott Quad is also a residence hall.

The offices of International Student and Faculty Services and of Graduate Student Senate, both formerly located in Scott Quad, have been moved to the new Baker University Center.

History of Building

Scott Quad was a gift to Ohio University and originally used as a residence hall for students. In 1984, part of the building was renovated and used for guest housing.
