Ph.D in History from Carnegie Mellon University;
M.S. in History and Social Policy from Carnegie Mellon University;
B.A. in History and Spanish from the University of California at Davis

Biography

Research Interests: Dissertation titled, "Rivets and Rights: African American Workers and Shipbuilding in the San Francisco Bay Area, 1898-1948." Currently I am researching a national study of cleaning and sanitation workers which explores the intersections of gender, racial/ethnic identity, and class.

Courses Taught: African American History I (AAS 101 - fall quarter); African American Political Thought (AAS 368 - fall quarter); African American History II (AAS 202 - winter quarter); History of the Black Worker (AAS 325 - winter quarter)
