Hi, I am a
academic skills instructor for the UC 110
course, Learning Strategies. In additional
to material that we discuss in class
relevant to Time Management, Note taking,
Reading Textbooks, and preparing for exams,
my students complete four e-mail assignments
which are directly related to becoming a
more successful student. My students appear
to like learning more about how to
communicate via the WWW, and these exercises
provide me with an opportunity to get to
know each of them a little better. I also
work with students individually who want to
learn more effective study techniques.
My higher education training began in Miami,
Florida and continued here at OU once I
relocate d to SE Ohio. My undergraduate
degree is in elementary education; I taught
in the early childhood education field for
10 years. I earned my MS in Human
Development and Administration at OU in
1987. Prior to my joining the AAC staff, I
taught and did administrative work in the OU
College of Education. My first three years
here at the AAC, I assisted Margaret
Romoser with the Supplemental Instruction
program. When I am not here at the AAC , I
enjoy growing flowers, interacting with
nature, and traveling. |
