Athens Video Works is Ohio University's only student-run video production house and offers experience in all areas of production from general management, sales, programming, and marketing to the production process itself. With a wide variety of shows to work on, students can gain exposure to sports, game shows, sitcoms, entertainment magazines, talk shows, and even music concert shows. AVW is a fun-filled experience that starts new recruits with studio and field production techniques, and guides them through the different positions until they are producing their own show. The most important experience gained is how to work closely and develop relationships with fellow industry professionals that will last throughout a person's career and life. Programs are aired on WOUB II and comprise the vast majority of local programming on that channel viewable by the entire Athens Community. Most shows are shot in Studio C on the 5th floor of the Radio and TV Building on the Ohio University Campus.
